CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical body contouring treatment that targets excess fat through a process called cryolipolysis. When fat cells are reduced to a low enough temperature, they die off and are naturally flushed away by the body in the next 2-3 months. Your CoolSculpting treatment will begin with an in-depth personalized consultation with your medical aesthetician about the goals you’re looking to achieve and whether CoolSculpting is the best option to help you achieve them. After designing your treatment plan, your technician will place the device’s applicator over your targeted area. You’ll feel some suction as the applicator attaches, followed by some increasing cold that will soon fade to numbness in the first 5 minutes.
For the rest of your treatment, you’ll be free to relax, read, and even nap. Most sessions take about 35-45 minutes per treatment area. When your technician removes the device, you may feel some tingling and a “thawing” feeling as your treated area warms back up.
