PRP works by collecting your body’s own platelets and applying them to the areas that concern you most. Over time, the platelets go to work rebuilding skin for a sustained improvement. Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Vince Bertucci prefers to use a product called SELPHYL® to prepare the platelet-rich plasma and enhance the results of traditional PRP.
In a vampire facelift, Dr. Bertucci injects PRP directly into the skin in areas that need a rejuvenation boost. He may combine these injections with dermal fillers, which fill in lines and add extra volume in the cheeks, temples, and more.
Dr. Bertucci also uses PRP to enhance the results of treatments such as microneedling and Fraxel®. These treatments create tiny channels in the skin that allow the PRP to penetrate deeper, speeding healing times and creating more dramatic results.

View Current SpecialsDuring your treatment, a trained member of our team first draws blood from your arm. This is not unlike the process of having your blood drawn during routine medical testing. After drawing a small amount of blood, Dr. Bertucci uses a special technique to separate the red and white blood cells from the platelets, or “liquid gold.” The red and white cells are discarded, and the purified platelets are injected into your primary areas of concern. The entire procedure is brief, typically lasting under an hour, and you can return to your normal activities following your appointment.
Although no formal recuperation is required, you may experience some swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, or itching near your injection sites. These are fairly typical symptoms and will resolve themselves without medical intervention.
You’ll begin to see your treated areas appear smoother and softer after 2 to 3 weeks, with results that continue to endure for more than a year.
