Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Dr. Bertucci is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Established in 1929, the Royal College aims to set high professional standards for physicians throughout the country, ensuring that Canada retains its place as a world health leader. Member physicians must pass entrance examinations as well as maintain their certification through a maintenance program.
American Board of Dermatology
Dr. Bertucci is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. The purpose of the Board is to set high standards of dermatologic care to ensure the safety and satisfaction of patients in the United States and Canada. The Board is not-for-profit, private, and operates autonomously, which means board certification cannot be affected by inside interests.
Canadian Dermatology Association
Dr. Bertucci is a former president of the Canadian Dermatology Association. Founded in 1925, the Canadian Dermatology Association seeks to “advance the science and art of medicine and surgery related to the skin, hair and nails; provide continuing professional development for its members; support and advance patient care; provide public education on sun protection and other aspects of skin health; and promote a lifetime of healthier skin, hair and nails.”
American Society for Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. Bertucci is the President Elect of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. The Society exclusively represents dermatologic surgeons who “have unique training and experience to treat the health, function, and beauty of skin throughout every stage of life.”
American Academy of Dermatology
Dr. Bertucci is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and chair of its Membership Committee. This organization that promotes leadership and superior patient care in the field of dermatology throughout North America and around the world. Their values include professionalism, lifelong learning, collaboration, and social responsibility, and member physicians are held to high standards of professional behavior and performance. Since its inception, the Academy has been instrumental in advancing the field of dermatology.
