What is a SkinScope?
The SkinScope is a skin diagnostic tool that reveals underlying concerns before they rise to the surface. The SkinScope has two light modes: simulated Daylight mode for reviewing visible skin conditions and concerns, and a LED-UV light mode for reviewing skin fluorescence.

What to expect:
Your skin will be analyzed in two lights.
Step 1: Daylight Mode
First your skin will be analyzed in Daylight Mode.
This allows for the clear illumination of visible skin concerns, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin tone
- Redness, blotchiness, flushing
- Oily, acne-prone skin
Step 2: LED-UV Mode
Next, your skin will be analyzed in LED-UV Mode. LED-UV light detects fluorescence in skin for clearer identification of skin concerns and conditions not visible in everyday light. While healthy skin reflects UV light creating a blue glow, various concerns are reflected in a variety of fluorescent shades.
This allows us to identify skin characteristics such as:
- Normal and healthy skin
- Dead skin cells
- Thinner, dehydrated skin
- Pigmentation and dark spots
- Oily areas of the face
- Congested pores and comedones
Preparing for your appointment:
SkinScope analysis will be used for aesthetic consultations (e.g. facials and peels), skincare consultations, and laser consultations, when applicable.
For optimal assessment, please attend your appointment with a clean, makeup and sunscreen-free face and neck.
